Your annual wellness visit: what to expect
June 28, 2026 ·Daystar Family Care
An annual wellness visit is a chance to step back and look at your whole health — not just a problem of the day. We review your history, medications, and family history, check your vital signs, and talk about how you are really doing.
Depending on your age and risk, we may recommend screenings (like blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, cancer screenings) and make sure your vaccines are up to date. It is also the perfect time to talk about sleep, stress, mood, nutrition, and any goals you have.
To get the most out of your visit, bring a list of your medications and supplements, jot down any questions ahead of time, and know your family history if you can. Think of it as a yearly tune-up — and a chance to build a plan that keeps you well.
